Thank you for visiting Nice Patio Furniture.
This website was set up initially with the intention of helping people better understand the concepts of living outdoors.
Over the years I’ve been involved considerably with the construction processes of building patios, whether that involved establishing an area within a lawn, or right through to building a suspended wooden deck. Some types of patio surfaces require certain points to adhere to upon construction, but generally, the principle remains the same.
Objective:
To find a suitable place outside in your backyard/garden, whereby you can design and build your “Garden of Eden”.
Ideally a south facing position is always ideal, but if that isn’t possible, don’t be disheartened should you have to contend with an area that is north facing.
Garden Furniture:
Eventually, upon completion of your chosen position, and you’re satisfied with the surface you’ve chosen, you now get to enjoy furnishing it.
Within the site I hope to supply you with all the knowledge of not only building a patio, but also elaborate on the types of materials that are used for making garden furniture. Every patio will share it’s own characteristics, and certain furniture will help compliment your area better than others.
I hope to help you better understand the advantages and often disadvantages of some types of materials, over others.
Furnishing:
Nowadays, one just doesn’t have to make do with sitting on somewhat hard surfaces. Whether you’ve decided on wooden, metal, or plastic patio furniture sets, you now have the option of dressing up your choice.
Over the years, the fabrics that are now used have come along way in terms of functionality, and practicality.
The materials that are designed for the outdoors require the ability to withstand harsher conditions than those 
that are intended for indoor use. They need to be not only waterproof, but also able to withstand a lot greater wear and tear. They will also require some form of protection from the harmful effects of UV sun rays.
All of these properties can now be found in fabrics intended for the outdoors at your local garden center. They will also come in a variety of shades and patterns.
Not only will you be purchasing cushions, but you will also need to equip your furniture with suitable covers that will have the ability to protect your furniture on times when not in use.
It doesn’t seem that long ago when you would only have the option of throwing pieces of tarpaulin over your outside dining area for protection. Although this worked adequately, it wasn’t the most attractive way of shielding your furniture from the elements.
Nowadays, the better quality leading brands of covers are made specifically for each item of furniture. Custom covers will give you a much nicer looking patio, when not in use, but can also be purchased in a color co-ordinated scheme.

This is the best part. Getting to enjoy your creation.
Your patio should now be equipped to offer similar comforts of what you have inside. After all, that is the whole purpose of this exercise!
There are so many items to help create this haven that as I’m building this web site; it is my intention to add more content and ideas to help you achieve the ultimate outdoor dining area. And this site will be updated on a regular basis.
